Meet Brady
Photobucket
Meet Brady! I met up with him and his Mommy one evening last week for his two year photos at a park in Powell. He just celebrated his birthday, so Mommy wanted to document it.
Photobucket

Photobucket
I'm guessing he might be a future soccer player.......
Photobucket

Photobucket
They start so young, don't they?
Photobucket
Though out our time together, Brady didn't want to put the soccer ball down, made it a bit interesting try to get some shots without the ball in the photo. His Mommy finally had to put the ball away and I just kinda like Brady do his thing.

Near the end of our session, Brady took a tumble off a picnic table and bumped
his sweet little head.....Mommy swooped him right up to comfort him. As sad
as it is to see a child injure their self, it was comforting to see him getting through it
with his mother's touch.
Photobucket
And then that wonderful smile came back!

Have a wonderful 2nd year Brady.....so much in the big world to explore and experience.

Family Bonding.......
Photobucket
Since we were in The Outer Banks for the wedding of Erika and Kevin, we were fortunate enough to stay with family while there. My sister and her family welcomed us into their home. We were so excited to spend time with them. Ephram got to meet his cousin Logan who is just over one month older than he is. They both LOVE Thomas The Train.
Photobucket
Lori and Brian relaxing on the beach for a bit. I can't imagine how nice it must be to live so close to the ocean. Brian is in the Coast Guard, so they will always have the ocean near them. Can't go wrong there.
Photobucket
This is Aliana, or as she is called, Ali. She was too adorable. She gave me
baby fever for sure. She was such a smiler.
Photobucket
We had met Brian a few years ago briefly, so it was great getting to know him
better. It was interesting hearing about his job and just life in The OBX.

One thing I know I will miss as Ephram grows up is moments like this, where we are
still able to lift them up high....seeing Lori with Logan here and Ali below.....I just
realized how quickly that time goes. They only stay tiny for a short matter of time. Not nearly long enough.

Photobucket
As I shot these separate photos, I wasn't even trying for this image, but she was such a 'peek-a-book' looking over, I couldn't resist.
Photobucket
Wow.....your a Mama Lori.......look how far we've come!
Photobucket

Photobucket
I'm so happy that Brian and Lori found each other......it wasn't hard to see the happiness in them both when they are around each other and the children.
Photobucket
The morning we left, I was getting some last shots of the kids. Ali was just a handful of
expressions and she topped it off with this. Priceless!
It was a whirlwind of a trip, fun in the sun, time on the beach, bonding with family and an awesome wedding to boot.....so glad that it all worked out that we could spend time together. Can't wait to see you all again soon!

Destination Wedding: The Outer Banks
Photobucket
This past weekend was the beach wedding of Erika and Kevin. They were married on the beach in Hatteras. It was a gorgeous day for their afternoon ceremony. There was a large storm brewing that was expected to come in that day, but it was blue skies and sunshine all day. Couldn't have picked a better day!
Photobucket
Erika and Kevin had this beach house for the week. We met up with them here for
their getting ready shots. A house with it's own elevator, how cool is that! It overlooked the ocean from the front and the sound on the backside, so they had the best of both.
Photobucket
Erika putting the final touches on her make up before she put on her gown.
Photobucket
I loved all the details of the beach house......and even better.....the hand made shell bouquets made by the bridesmaids and Erika!

Kevin's mom taking in the ceremony. I thought she just looked so content at that moment.

This bridal party rocked!

After some photos on the beach, we took off for the short drive to The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. We had the park to ourselves which was really nice. It's still early in the season where there wasn't a huge crowd of tourists yet.

I found the tree's there to be interesting and different than what we find here in Ohio...made for a cool backdrop.
Photobucket
No, your eye's don't deceive you. That's a Twinkie and Ho-Ho cake! By Kevin's request, his sister made this cake for him. Again, stepping outside that box and trying
something new..I dig that sorta thing! It was a wonderful day for a wedding and we look forward to seeing Kevin and Erika again this weekend when they have their reception here in Columbus with their family and friends.

My Two Dolls........
Photobucket
What girl doesn't love playing dress up! Long ago, before I really got into
taking photos of people, one thing I loved to do was get my friend's dolled up
and take them out to take photos for fun. I loved the idea of doing something
different, not the modern day stuff. I adore all things vintage, having never felt like
I was in the right era myself....it was always fun to dress it up. So a couple of month's
ago, one of my 2009 bride's, Erin (above) contacted me about doing some headshots
for her..and knowing she had a love for all things vintage too, we got to talking. We
thought what fun it would be to glam it up a bit.......and so became this session.
Photobucket
Erin's sister, Crystal joined in on the fun. I had the pleasure of photographing her
last summer for a Trash The Dress session, so it was great to see her again. It's great
when your clients become friends. It's always fun seeing these two.
Photobucket

Photobucket
Crystal looks like she'd fit right in the 1940's...
Photobucket

Photobucket
If your thinking Laverne and Shirley.....you'd be right!
Photobucket

Photobucket
Course you can't have vintage fashion without a vintage car!

Ahh, the many faces of Erin.....flirty and quirkey....love it!
Photobucket
Crystal working the camera....they make my job easy.
Photobucket
How could I pass this up?
Photobucket

Photobucket
A new favorite of mine Crystal!! I love these.
Photobucket
One of the things I love about these two is their ability to just have fun with one another, the best of friends. If I had a sister, I imagine we'd be close like this.
Photobucket

Photobucket
I had such a good time on this shoot, got to spend some time with friends, have some good laugh's, took a lot of photos, and felt like I got an creative release which I say is always good. As I tell my clients, just have fun with it, don't limit yourself. Thanks again Doll's!
