Shhhh, the baby is sleeping......

DEAD SPACE: FOLLOW BELOW....

Photobucket
This is Claire. She was just short of two weeks old when I met her. In all the year's I've been doing this, Claire is the first baby to sleep through the session. She was very content. It didn't matter how much we moved her around, she was sacked out.
Photobucket
Jason and Nicole got her to open her eyes for just a short bit...but then she was out again.
Photobucket
We went outside.......she missed that.
Photobucket

Photobucket
And back inside and she continued to sleep.......who needs a lullaby!
Photobucket
Towards the end of our session, it was just humorous that she kept on sleeping, but I don't think Nicole or Jason minded......although they may have later that night. Claire may have made up for it.
Photobucket
Again she gave me a slight little opportunity to see her pretty eyes.......
Photobucket
And then with clothes back on and in her crib, she was out again, that mild coma does the body good!
Photobucket
Good night sweet baby girl.......

The Ephram Express
*SORRY FOR THE DEAD SPACE-Getting ready to change blog over ......

Photobucket
We celebrated Ephram's 5th birthday at a awesome location I found just by accident when planning a train themed party. The Depot Rail Museum in Columbus was the perfect location, just what I had been looking for. Ephram has long had an obsession with trains, so it made him as giddy as me that he got to share in his special day here with his friends and family. Tim at The Depot took good care of us and helped us with whatever we needed and kept the party flowing with a tour of the museum and grounds. There is even a train for the kiddo's to ride.
Photobucket
We'd never done a party for Ephram before, as we always keep it low key, and after all the planning and getting things together, I am glad I keep things simple. While I had a blast getting things ready....I was beat when all was said and done. But it turned out great and Ephram had a great birthday.
Photobucket
Ephram would greet all his little friends with their hats and scarf and train whistle. He loved having all his close friends to hang with him. He couldn't wipe the smile off his face if he tried.

Photobucket
The cake turned out so adorable! I had a concept in my mind an sent her an image and she created this perfect addition to the theme. But even more importantly......it tasted sooooo good....I have a lot of cake samples at weddings and such and I can vouch her cakes are delish! Check her out if you need a cake for a special event. The kids all enjoyed their day and they finished off with a tunnel that they all ran through and they were off.

It was a great day of celebration and thank you to all of you who came to the party!!

Our Ephram....
Photobucket
The saying is true, 'they grow up right before your eye's'. Today marks Ephram's 5th birthday. It's hard to comprehend how fast those five year's have past. All the changes from birth to now. He's come so far and done so much in those few year's. He's made us laugh so much at his antic's. He's grayed our hair. He's taught us just as we have taught him. He's brought a whole new perspective to life.
Photobucket
Rotten to the core he is.....an he know's it! But cute as a button.

And then there is this side of Ephram.....
Photobucket
I get asked often if I take a lot of photo's of Ephram.....while I do take random shots here and there, I likely don't take as many as I would like. One reason being that I'm usually knee deep in other people's photos, but a close second would be that Ephram also tend's to wear the crown of my worst client ever. One might laugh at the humor of it all.....but he know's how to get under my skin and it's usually right when I pull the camera out for such an event. Without pulling out too many hair's, I keep on him and eventually get him to work with me.....but this is just a taste of the cute rottenness that is our Ephram.
Photobucket
That being said, he actually does like having his photo taken and even has his own love for taking photos. That has been a great delight, watching him pick up camera's and doing his own images. Melt's his Mama's heart.
Photobucket
Since before Ephram's 2nd birthday party, he's had a love for Trains. Not just Thomas The Train-but the real deal. And that love hasn't stopped, it's actually grown. His great-grandfather was an engineer for Conrail-boy would he have loved to have seen him. I think it's a bit of his G.G.Bob coming out of him.
Photobucket
Ephram's having a birthday party at a train station and is super excited. Friend's and family are coming to share in his big day and have a little fun. We've been looking forward to this day for a long time and I know it's going to be special for Ephram.
Photobucket
As I look over his 5 year photos, I'm just in awe at all his changes and the little man he has become. He's a lover. He's a comedian. He a sweetheart. He's compassionate. He's thoughtful of other's. He's hysterical. He's ornery. He's creative. He's happy-go-lucky. He's our Ephram!
Happy Birthday Ephram! xoxo

Emmy
Photobucket
On Saturday I got to hang out with this cutey in the park for a bit. This is Emmy. She's cute
as a button and full of great smiles.
Photobucket
I was looking forward to this session cause I got a chance to catch up with a past bride
and groom, Mindy and Mike. We photographed their wedding a few year's ago and this
was the first I'd seen them since, so it was great getting to meet their new addition.
Photobucket
Emmy seemed to enjoy being outside on such a lovely day and spending time with her two favorite people.
Photobucket

Photobucket
Emmy was laughing at her silly daddy standing behind me....

Photobucket

Photobucket
Look at that pout! I love those lips.
Photobucket
We finished off the session at the location of their wedding, The Pavillion in Dublin. A nice trip down memory lane.

One More Time......
Photobucket
I hadn't seen Ben since his newborn session, so it was a fun little visit to see how much he's changed over the past months as he near's his 1st birthday. He's such a chatter box. His Mommy Alicia and his Daddy, Jeff are smitten with this cutie!
Photobucket
Ben was all over the place, checking things out. Those baby blue eyes are just gorgeous.
Photobucket
We took a stroll out to the nearby park. Ben enjoyed the fresh air and watching the ducks.
Photobucket
Ben had us all laughing....such a strong baby. With a little help from Dad, he held on for some time to the bar and just hung out there.....

Photobucket
Baby cuddles are the best!
Photobucket
This past weekend, Jeff and Alicia an Ben made a move to Michigan to start a new life there. I'm sure that Ohio will always have a special place in their hearts, as it's where they became a family. I know they will make many return visits to see their friends, an always have a second home here. All the best to you in your new journey!

Meet Damon:
A new addition has been born into one of my favorite families that I often get a chance to work with. Damon came into the world in January.
Photobucket
Damon join's his big brother, J.J. who is six, along with his Mom, Wendy and Dad, Devin.
Photobucket
Damon did such a good job for his session, he was taking all the action in and holding his head up so much for being weeks old.
Photobucket
J.J. reading a book to his baby brother. He's a proud brother.
Photobucket

Photobucket
I'm guessing these three images will melt Wendy's heart.....nothing like your man holding your precious babies..no matter how big or small they may be.
Photobucket

Photobucket
Damon was smiling at me and just talking up a storm. I love that baby chatter. If you just knew what they were trying to say.
Photobucket

Photobucket
Serious cuddle factor!
Photobucket
His nursery is decorated in Monkey's so some of the gang joined him for some photos.
Photobucket
I'm going to say it.....Wendy, you look STUNNING!
Photobucket
By the end of the session, Damon was fussing and ready to rest, Devin worked at trying to calm him down and he let me get this last image of him, binky and cry free. So glad to have met the new man in your live's.....you've been doubly blessed!
