Dylan And His Family..
Photobucket
It was time to meet up with this cute little family again, in celebration of Dylan's first birthday. I got a couple of photos of them in their room's. Kelsie you are too adorable!
Photobucket
For this session, I went to their home in Lewis Center. Their backyard was a
perfect area to get some family photos.
Photobucket
Joe and Sherry-Love this new photo of the two of you.....it's frame worthy!
Photobucket
Kelsie was cracking me up, she was telling me stories, and I was multi-tasking taking photos while playing kick ball with her. I have a three year old I think you'd like playing with better than me!
Photobucket
Dylan playing in the sand box that his daddy made....looked like lots of fun.

Photobucket
This was an exciting time caught on film, Dylan standing for a good amount of time without any aid.....Joe and Sherry were so thrilled. Those are such wonderful memories.
Photobucket
A pinch of this, a pinch of that....Kelsie was making me a cake, I think it had blueberry in it. She asked me what my wedding cake tasted like, I told her it was lemon. She said it was a blueberry-lemon cake. That was the best blueberry-lemon cake ever!

Melissa and Bob: Part II
Photobucket
Melissa and Bob met me a couple of weeks ago for part two of their engagement session. We had met up for a snow scene in the harsh cold winter months ago. It was a little ironic how that day was so bitterly cold, and this day was so hot and humid.
Photobucket
Our goal for the meeting was to walk around downtown to get some ideas of where to go for their portraits on their wedding day. They are planning on doing the majority of their portraits prior to the ceremony, which really helps out the process of the wedding day. The couple doesn't have to feel so rushed to get back to their guests, and they can get right to celebrating sooner at their reception.
Photobucket
Bob and Melissa worked together and had kept their relationship private for some time cause they wanted their relationship to grow. As things progressed, they finally told their management the happy news.
Photobucket
Melissa told me how Bob tends to hunch over, so to be aware of that on the wedding day......I think he's just trying to get close to you!!!
Photobucket
Their wedding day is just a few short weeks away. They are having their ceremony
and reception at Station 67. I'm really excited to have the opportunity to shoot
somewhere new, that's always fun.

We are looking forward to walking the town with you and your bridal party and can't wait to celebrate with you on your big day!!

Cristy and Jon's Wedding Day!
Photobucket
Jon and Cristy were married last week on the campus of Ohio University at St. Paul's Catholic Church.
Photobucket
I wanted something different for Cristy's dress.......I think I found a nice little hanger.

St.Paul's was a beautiful church, dated from 1896.

Jon and Cristy had the Ohio University bus take the bridal party around the campus during their portraits. Made for a sweet ride for everyone to relax and cool off.

Photobucket
Cristy and Jon live in Chicago. This was the first we'd met Jon, so it was nice getting
to know the groom a bit. They wanted their wedding on the O.U. campus where
they spent so much time and made so many memories.
Photobucket
I was loving this old building...just had a different feel about it.
Photobucket
We then headed over to Emeriti Park for some more photos.
Photobucket

Photobucket
Check out the bold splash of color of Cristy's shoes.
Photobucket
Their reception was held at The Baker Center. It was a beautiful venue with massive space and grand views of the campus.
Photobucket
Jon and Cristy relaxing before being announced at the reception.
Photobucket
I loved some of the elements that Jon and Cristy had at their reception. From special dances from the bride and groom and the father and bride's dance was a fun up beat dance to a surprise visit from some of the members of the O.U. marching band, to the parents singing a song to the new bride and groom. Everyone was on their feet having a good time in celebration for Jon and Cristy. Congrats!!

Anna and Dalton's Surprise Wedding Day
Photobucket
A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by Anna. She and Dalton were planning on their wedding at the court down town. I was excited to be a part of this wedding cause I hadn't had the pleasure yet of a 'elopement' or Justice of The Peace' wedding. Their friends and family back home were aware of the engagement, but no one knew they were getting married that day.
Photobucket
Judge Green was a delight. He kept it humorous, informative and took the time to get to know the couple.
Photobucket
So happy.....
Photobucket

Photobucket
At the end of Judge Green's ceremony, he came down in front of Dalton and Anna to say his final words before pronouncing them Husband and Wife. He shared with them how this was the highlight of his day.
Photobucket
One of the other exciting things I was looking forward to with this wedding was the
chance to just go out with them and take their portraits. We didn't have to rush
to a reception and we could just take our time and go as we pleased.
Photobucket
It was so hot that day, we literally were trying to keep in the shade as much as possible. We went up to the State House for some cover. Doesn't Anna make a radiant bride!
Photobucket
I felt for Dalton, dressed up so nice for his big day, but feeling the effects of the heat, I think taking off his jacket suited him well, and it was a great match to his bride.
Photobucket
Not only was Anna's dress gorgeous, but her veil was just beautiful! Her veil is 62 years old, made by her great- grandmother. It was simply stunning. I loved the vintage Victorian feel about it.
Photobucket

Photobucket
In addition to her veil, she wore this lovely hair piece that just topped off her hairstyle when she wasn't wearing her veil. Very classy style Anna!!
Photobucket
Anna and Dalton are from North Dakota. They just moved here last fall so that Anna could continue her studies at OSU for her Ph. D. in History. They met at The University of North Dakota while getting their Master's and Dalton followed Anna here. They wanted to have that urban feel to their photos as there isn't a lot of that where they are from.
Photobucket
You'd think I posed them this way.....no even close. Dalton saw and opportunity
and took it with his lovely new Mrs.
Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
From downtown we headed to The Short North to get a little bit different feel....in the art district.
Photobucket
I have to say, this has got to be the most awesome bouquet I've ever seen. Anna put it together herself.
Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
They wanted to finish with ice cream from their favorite joint, Jenis. Instead of sharing cake, they shared cool and tasty ice cream. And take note, Dalton went for flavor, Anna went for color co-ordination. Too cute!
Photobucket

Photobucket
Dalton and Anna will be returning back home to celebrate with their family and
friends this August for a reception. She sent one of their wedding photos from
last week in a card to make the special announcement so now the well wishes
are coming in. Congrats to you both!!
