Around Town.....

How I love photographing expectant parents....it's such a fun and exciting time, the final weeks before the arrival of a baby...so much anticipation and anxiety. I love knowing that they will have photo keepsake's of this special time in their lives to look back on for year's to come. Alicia and Jeff met up with me in downtown Columbus for their maternity session.

36 weeks and counting, the days are numbered before their little guy makes his arrival. They still were talking names and getting all their last minute things crossed off their list.

Jeff and Alicia haven't been in Columbus very long, so having their session downtown seemed fitting for them.

We made our way further into the city to get some skyline photos..the clouds were getting darker, but it was the perfect setting for their bright colors.

Not once did I hear her complain about walking....for being about ready to deliver, that's huge!! Girl I gotta hand it to you, that's awesome. She made pregnancy look easy.

Jeff and Alicia were so cute..the little nervous giggles....love documenting that.

Won't be long now.......

All the best to you in your delivery....it was great getting to spend some time with you both.

Big Sister........

Last weekend I met with Rachel and Mike and Madison. Rachel is going to be having a baby boy in just a few weeks, so they wanted to get one last family portrait in of just the three of them + 1. Rachel has graced this blogged a couple of times and I always like to point out her craft....she's created http://www.bbblocks.com/BB_Blocks/Home.html BB Blocks. They are a great resource for marking the months of your pregnancy and as your child grows..from weeks to months.

Madison is now 3 years old and looking forward to being the big sister. She was very cute telling me about her baby brother.

We went to a local park near their Lewis Center home to get some outdoor photos.

Always so precious.

I imagine it's going to be a welcome change having another boy in the house. A lot of big changes are ahead....

Madison loves taking walks perched up on her dad's shoulders......she was kissing his head and having fun with him.

You are too cute Madison!

Time for some cuddles..

Madison is going to be a wonderful sister, and I'm sure she is going to be a big helper to Mommy an Daddy.......

Crystal and Brad Are Having A Baby:

This spring has brought on two deliriously fun maternity sessions. Ironically enough, both Mama's to be know each other and are due about a week apart from one another. So I was so happy to hear the news that one of my favorite repeat clients were expecting their first little baby. Crystal and Brad are going to make wonderful parents.

For the last few days we had been watching the forecast for the weather and it didn't look good, but as we all know how Ohio weather can be, it ended up being absolutely perfect just in time for the session. I met up with Crystal and Brad at a farm in Hilliard and we delighted to find so many wonderful things. And I just let Crystal and Brad do their thing.

The horses in the field were curious to see what we were up too, they would follow us around and keep a close eye on us.

Yea, you know it's good when there is a old truck in the mix......and a good old tartan blanket too....Crystal, I think we have a ritual of you and car's going on.

Crystal's beautiful belly......she wears it well. They are expecting a little girl this month.

These two are going to realize real soon that this little girl is going to change their world...and I know they cannot wait for her to arrive.

Flaunt it girl!!

If only I could tell you the stories that Brad was really reading from the book....Crystal may just have to make sure she takes care of the reading. But I did get some good laughs at Brad's versions of the stories.

One thing I love about working with Crystal is that I know she'll do anything and just

have fun with it. She had her outfits picked out and I just so happened to have a hat

in my trunk that I'd been waiting for the right person to use...too cute and just as I saw it.

My lovely assistant Erin (Crystal's sister) took this photo of me in action. I found it a

bit humorous seeing the shot after the fact....I was being savy with my boots with the mud, but putting on the hat gave it a whole new meaning of wacky....yea, that's how I work it!

Mmmm, Pickles.......

A few month's back I got a phone call with exciting news from one of my 2010 bride's. Anya and Rob were expecting! I was so thrilled to hear the news and couldn't wait for this day to come!! And the wait was worth it. We met up in Logan, Ohio at The Bowen House, which is a lovely home built in 1831 and now serves as a center for education and the arts. It was the perfect setting for their maternity session. Anya started off with some graceful moves of Yoga. Great form and balance.

I love working with these two....they just light each other up so much and are over the moon excited about their little bundle of joy that's going to enter the world soon.

I swear I've never seen shoes so tiny....

The Bowen House has several rooms, all with wonderful lighting. I could just picture sitting here reading a book.....so what better place than to do so. We enjoyed Anya reading to us her book. Practice makes perfect!

Bliss-

Anya knows me.......she knew I'd love this place and right she was. Course I think Anya and I have a lot of the same taste in things we like........

The Bowen House was not only lovely, but also had furniture that I love.....yea, I had a couple of jaw dropping moments within the house.....this couch for one.

Daddy is so proud...

Alot has happened in the last year for Rob and Anya and it's only getting better. I am so happy and excited for them.

As with all the time's I've worked with Anya an Rob......I adore how they make each other laugh....they are a perfect fit.

I could have shot even longer here as this place had plenty of other nooks I didn't even get around too, but so glad for the chance to see this awesome house and spend some time with friends.

So you say.......'Why Mmmm Pickles'? Well funny story. When we were shooting their wedding last year, I was thrilled to see they were serving Pickles at their reception. I've always said a perfect wedding is one that serves pickles! Another thing Anya and I have in common......we love our pickles!! With or without being pregnant!
