Mmmm, Pickles.......
Photobucket
A few month's back I got a phone call with exciting news from one of my 2010 bride's. Anya and Rob were expecting! I was so thrilled to hear the news and couldn't wait for this day to come!! And the wait was worth it. We met up in Logan, Ohio at The Bowen House, which is a lovely home built in 1831 and now serves as a center for education and the arts. It was the perfect setting for their maternity session. Anya started off with some graceful moves of Yoga. Great form and balance.
Photobucket
I love working with these two....they just light each other up so much and are over the moon excited about their little bundle of joy that's going to enter the world soon.
Photobucket
I swear I've never seen shoes so tiny....
Photobucket
The Bowen House has several rooms, all with wonderful lighting. I could just picture sitting here reading a book.....so what better place than to do so. We enjoyed Anya reading to us her book. Practice makes perfect!

Bliss-

Anya knows me.......she knew I'd love this place and right she was. Course I think Anya and I have a lot of the same taste in things we like........
Photobucket

Photobucket
The Bowen House was not only lovely, but also had furniture that I love.....yea, I had a couple of jaw dropping moments within the house.....this couch for one.
Photobucket
Beautiful Mama.....

Daddy is so proud...
Photobucket
Alot has happened in the last year for Rob and Anya and it's only getting better. I am so happy and excited for them.
Photobucket

Photobucket
As with all the time's I've worked with Anya an Rob......I adore how they make each other laugh....they are a perfect fit.
Photobucket
I could have shot even longer here as this place had plenty of other nooks I didn't even get around too, but so glad for the chance to see this awesome house and spend some time with friends.
Photobucket
So you say.......'Why Mmmm Pickles'? Well funny story. When we were shooting their wedding last year, I was thrilled to see they were serving Pickles at their reception. I've always said a perfect wedding is one that serves pickles! Another thing Anya and I have in common......we love our pickles!! With or without being pregnant!

Wyatt In The Park.......
Photobucket
Last week I played around with Wyatt at a new park in Dublin...this place was the bomb if your a tyke...very colorful with lots of great things to play with, high and low. It was a nice early spring day, hopefully the first of many to come and it wasn't long before we were taking our jackets off to get cooled down.
Photobucket
So many interesting things for the kids to play on...Wyatt literally had me running from one end of the park to another, over and over again. He gave me a good work out for sure.
Photobucket
Wyatt's lovely Mama Tracie was pushing him in the swing which he seemed to love...who can't resist that tickle in your tummy........go Higher!
Photobucket

Photobucket
Oh Wyatt, how I wanna kiss those cheeks....
Photobucket
Certainly becoming a lil man! Wyatt celebrated his 2nd birthday a couple of months back.
Photobucket

Photobucket
It was nice having the park pretty much to ourselves. Wyatt was enjoying time spent alone just as much as having some fun with Mom.
Photobucket
I'm sure we will be frequenting this park more in the future, and Wyatt will have a lot of great summer days there....until we meet again!

Birthday Boy.......
Photobucket
Four year's ago this a.m., on March 23rd, my labor started.....and has since never stopped....okay, I kid......looking back, it's hard to believe we are marking Ephram's 4th birthday already. Since having him, time has just flown by.
Photobucket
True story about me. I never wanted kids. I didn't see myself as the maternal type. But go figure, I met the right guy....and now I'm a 'soccer mom', and proud. At that, I didn't think I could relate to a boy......but he's proved me wrong time and time again. We have so many laughs from the things he says or does and are amazed as how he grows before us. Sometimes I feel as though he's a adult in a lil guy's body. He's so aware of things around him.
Photobucket
In the past couple of months, Ephram has taken a liking to taking photos. I have to say it melts my heart watching him mock what he see's his Mommy doing. We have bought him his first camera so we can see the world through his eyes. He has a great eye and I hope that it continues to grow over the year's.
Photobucket
Ephram still has a great love for all things train, but in the last year he's taken on the admiration of trash trucks, of all things. I mean we are talking obsession. Your not safe if your seated, you WILL become part of the trash pile and will be compacted. He goes through all the sound effects and motions as he piles on anything he can pull into his pit of misc. junk. He looks forward to each Friday for the trash truck to come rolling down the street and will watch it until he can no longer see it.
Photobucket
E as we call him has started preschool in the last few months and enjoys getting to work on projects and playing with his new friends. He enjoys swimming and has done well with his lessons. He absolutely loves being outdoors and taking walks. Full of endless energy.
Photobucket
He loves his Daddy. He enjoy's having what they call 'Dude's Day's' every so often, where they spend the day together doing boy things. But not to be forgotten, Ephram also has some special days with me, we call those 'MommE' days.......
Photobucket
As sweet of a little boy he is, he's also got his ornery streak. This face I love to piece's, but this tends to be his smile and I laugh everytime I see this face. So rotten.
Photobucket
The biggest of struggles has been his dealing with Asthma and an allergy to peanuts. For me, it's hard at times to accept. Hard to watch him when he's in the midst of his attacks. Sad that he has to be cautious of certain things.....hopeful that one day he'll outgrow this. But he's a strong boy...he's taken on a lot in his young life.
Photobucket
He's such a loving and caring child. He is a hugger. Never met a stranger he didn't like. He loves to talk to people, esp. adults. He lives off making people laugh and I love that about him. He's got such a funny sense of humor.
Photobucket
One thing that is really important for us is that Ephram grows up traveling the world. Just in his short four year's, he's been to Ireland and Australia and to several U.S. states and more traveling to come. He's such a good traveler too. He takes it all in with stride and enjoys the adventure. We want him to be aware of his surroundings and people and the different cultures.
Photobucket
Wow, I think that's the most normal smile I've seen yet for the camera! While he does let me take photos of him, he has learned to play to the camera, but just the same can be my worst client ever......so I've learned just to let him do his thing.
Photobucket
So now we enter into the 4th year and we cannot wait to see what's ahead. He continues to amaze us and put smiles on our faces. I look forward to seeing him mature into a young man and 'grow big like daddy' in the year's to come.

And Then There Was Linnea....
Photobucket
I had the chance to meet up with this lovely family again and get to meet their new addition, Linnea, who is almost a year old. Time passed us by and we never got around to those newborn photos, but it's never too late in my book for a good old family session. Big brother Sam and his Mommy and Daddy, Scott and Colleen seem thrilled with having a full family now.
Photobucket

Photobucket
Linnea was too cute in her little purple dress and hat.....
Photobucket

Photobucket
Linnea didn't want to be held down for long, she was raring to go. I'm sure that
Sam enjoys keeping up with her.
Photobucket
I couldn't resist this shot of Sam playing Peek-A-Boo with me. I was putting my attention on Linnea when I looked over and saw this......
Photobucket
Sam loves his Mommy and Daddy.......
Photobucket
Those smiles say it all!
Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
Linnea followed in the footsteps of her brother with a few nude photos of her in her birthday suit at their first year...she was a natural!
Photobucket

Photobucket
Linnea was stylin in one of her Mommy's favorite outfits....but the pretty much was it
and the session was over....until another time......so nice to meet the new addition and see you all again!
