Braden Class of 2011
Photobucket
This is Braden. He is a senior this year at Big Walnut High School. Like any senior, he is counting down the days till graduation....
Photobucket
I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy Braden was to work with, he didn't mind having the camera on him, although I'm sure he was happy when it was all behind him.

We took a walk to the covered bridge at Slate Run Park for some of his portraits...and I just let him do his thing.....I'd say he does it well.

'In just the white shirt?' he said to me......'Yea, just in the white shirt'. Something so plain, so simple, it's the person wearing it that can make it work.

Celebration of 90 Years!
Photobucket
I recently had the honor of getting to be a part of a very special party. Mary, otherwise known as Nana was celebrating her 90th birthday. Some of her family came from all over the country to help her celebrate another year.....
Photobucket
There is something to documenting people....for me it's always been the History of family and the keepsake of virtual memory....things that you never want to forget about a person. I recalled taking photos similar to these of my grandmother and how I know years from now, those will mean even more to me than they do now.
Photobucket
Mary and her children....she must be so proud of you all!
Photobucket
A group photo of all the attendees......what a beautiful family.
Photobucket
Ahh, the stories a young person of 90 could tell.....some of the grandkids thought it would be fun to sit and listen to their Nana tell them some more stories....we all love those memories.....what a great thing to do, no matter what the age. Nana is clearly loved by many and it was important for them to share their gratitude for her. Happy Birthday!

Aaron and Allison Got Married!
Photobucket
Month's ago, Aaron contacted me from his home in the D.C. area about photographing their wedding. It's always great to meet up with local's who have moved from Ohio, but come back for their wedding. I got to meet with Aaron briefly a few weeks back to just go over their wedding and get to know a little more about their plans for their big day. They were married at The Confluence in downtown Columbus.
Photobucket
Allison's dress suited her style perfectly.....
Photobucket
And a touch of green for the bridal party.....
Photobucket
Getting into the wedding gown is always interesting, making sure it's just right...Allison was holding her balance as she was helped by other's tying her gown.

Meantime, back at the hotel, the guy's were getting ready to make their way over to The Confluence.

I loved the brides maid's shoes....

Literally within second's of the ceremony starting, it started to downpour. It had been touch and go all afternoon, but sure enough, the rain fell and fell for most of the rest of the evening....so the ceremony was held inside. Talk about close calls!

A little later in the evening, the rain stopped and we got a few photos outside...

I'm sure everyone was happy to see the blissful couple on their wedding day.
It may have rained on their plans to marry outside, but it didn't dampen their spirits. They took it in stride and just enjoyed the evening......

Loren and Valerie
Photobucket
I recently got to spend some time with Valerie and Loren for their down town engagement
session. We thought we were going to be rained out, but thankfully the weather stayed dry, although we did loose the sun we were hoping for, but it turned out just as well.
Photobucket
They wanted to get some photos at Northbank Park with the skyline in the background.....
Photobucket

Photobucket
Love these images.......
Photobucket
From Northbank we took a drive further into downtown.....high atop one of the parking garages. I love to get different vantage points when I'm out and about.
Photobucket
Both Loren and Valerie work downtown, as well as met at their employer.

Photobucket
Was it something I said? I love Loren's expression...
Photobucket

Photobucket
This happy couple is anxious for their Hawaiian wedding.....wouldn't you be?
Photobucket
They talked about their vacation and wedding day plans, sounds like paradise all the way around.
