All Together:
Photobucket
Earlier this summer I had met up with Maggie and some of her family to do their portraits. She asked me a few weeks later if I could meet up with them again to do a big group session with a whole bunch of their gang......the more the merrier! I met them at a home in Dublin on a cloudy day, but thankfully the rain held out and allowed us to get some outdoor images.
Photobucket
A handful of kids running around....what fun it must be around the holidays when they call come together and celebrate.

The youngest of the family were having a fun time just enjoying the yard decorations.

Beautiful twins....

And then there was Tucker, not to be forgotten. He tried with all his might to
avoid the camera, but in the end, we had a moment, and he had my attention and
no one else's. I guess he wanted it to be one on one, so I let him have his wish and we both walked away happy.

Mz.Kayla:
Oh it's been one of those summer's. Trying to keep up with the work load, and blogging and having a life, just never enough time in the day and I'm so behind on blogging, it's not even funny anymore....but I'm trying to add to it when I can find a free moment, so here is Mz. Kayla.
Photobucket
Kayla is one of my sweet lil cousins. I might be biased, but she's pretty darn adorable.
Photobucket
What is that bit of a quiver in your lips my dear?
Photobucket
I have always seen a part of Kayla as an old soul. There is something timeless about her for such a ripe young age...and this image speaks volumes to me on that. I love that I can see in her face her great-grandma Perfect.
Photobucket
My cousin Tara, along with her boyfriend Tim and Kayla. It's such a joy to see Tara so happy. She's come a long ways, down a hard road that we've both traveled and I think it's brought us even that much closer. I am thrilled that she is finding success in her life and happiness.
Photobucket
Kayla is a ham. It's always interesting seeing how much she's changed as they grow so fast in their toddler year's. She enjoys seeing her cousin Ephram and getting to hang out with him. Gotta keep a tight-nit family.
Photobucket
Tara's Mom Carla, and dad Gary were also there to join in on some family photos...(we missed you Kristen!)
Photobucket

Photobucket
I can see that Kayla adores Tim and I think he feels the same. He's so good with her and just has such a loving heart.
Photobucket
When I was about 10 or so, my cousin Gary married his beautiful bride Carla. I remember that wedding like it was yesterday. Their wedding left such a deep impression on me for year's to come. And now that I look back over my life and see what I do for a living....it's all kind of ironic how it falls into place.
Photobucket
Beautiful girls.....
Photobucket

Photobucket
This was my first time meeting Tim. I've heard a lot about him, but he exceeded my expectations. He's a very funny guy with a great sense of humor.

Lucky Little Guy:
Photobucket
This is Deacon.....we met each other a few weeks ago at Homestead Park in Hilliard. This child had some of the brightest eye's I've ever come across, they just were so vibrant. Deacon has come a long ways. He was born in Ethiopia and adopted at 6 months old by his new family all the way back in Ohio. He's adjusted well and has a wonderful family around him. He is now 22 months old.
Photobucket
Deacon had the cutest little giggle that he does.....along with a bit of a jump in his walk.....
Photobucket
Isn't that a great smile?
Photobucket
I think about Deacon's story and thinking of where he's come from and how much of a different impact of life he will have. All the things that he will get to experience in life, things he may never have seen, touched, smelled, tasted. Having a family that loves him unconditionally.
Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
Deacon just took everything in, absorbing everything around him, sure not to miss a thing..
Photobucket
The image of Deacon getting help from his mom, Beth's hand is touching....it speaks so many things to me....yet it's so simple.
Photobucket
Did I mention that Deacon has a thousand different faces? Always something cute he was doing.
Photobucket
Beth had this adorable outfit she'd gotten when she was in Africa to bring Deacon
home. One of those keepsakes for year's to come.
Photobucket

Photobucket
Deacon had me going in circles, he went this way, he went that way....he'd sit down, he'd stand up and walk, he'd run, he'd stop again......he'd make faces at his Mom. And repeat.....and all the while, he kept giving me that great grin of his.
Photobucket
It was great meeting you Deacon....you are a special lil guy.

Shannon and Ken's Wedding Day:
Last winter when I had met up with Ken and Shannon for their engagement session at The Columbus Zoo, it was likely one of the coldest days of the season. It only stood to reason that their wedding day would be one of the hottest of the season.
Photobucket
Shannon got ready at her friend, Kathryn's beautiful Powell home. It was the perfect setting for the girls getting ready.
Photobucket
Shannon had the assistance of Kathryn, her soon to be step-daughter, Lily and her mom.
Photobucket
Shannon used splash's of bold color all through out her wedding, from the shoes to table decor. She kept it bright and summery.
Photobucket
These three were a riot together.......as you can see, it didn't take much for them to loose it with one another....
Photobucket
...But they sure do look fine when they behave. I have to say, when I first saw Lily all dressed up for the wedding, she took my breath away. She seemingly had gone from a 'pre-teen' to young adult in just the several months since I'd first met her.
Photobucket
Stunning.....
Photobucket

Photobucket
From the house, we hopped in the limo and drove to Scioto Park where the ceremony would be held.
Photobucket
The ceremony had tears and laughter. A touching moment was when Shannon presented Lily with a special necklace. I don't think there was a dry eye in the house.
Photobucket
Ken was looking handsome....

A group photo of everyone.
Photobucket
Ken was like a kid on Christmas morning, getting to go onto the OSU field. They had the entire stadium to themselves....I think they pretty much did it all, they ran, they did somersaults, they made good use of their time.

The reception was held at The Venue downtown.
Photobucket
Shannon and Ken hosted a great party among their family and friends. They celebrated with glazed doughnuts in place of cake.......had my mouth watering, they smelled so good.
Photobucket
I've heard a lot of speech's over the year's, but I have to say the next two were likely two of the best. So warm and from the heart and mixed with great humor.
Photobucket
Since Lily stood as 'best girl' next to her Dad, Ken gave a speech to thank everyone for coming. He had us all laughing.....and then he spoke to his sweetheart and how much she meant to him. He talked about how Shannon is the type of person that you instantly feel like your old friends....and I can say that is so true. Spending time with them you felt like you'd been together for year's. Really a sweet and fun family.
Photobucket
Wishing you all the best in the future that lies ahead......we had such a wonderful time and look forward to seeing you again in the future!
