Yesterday I recieved a lovely surprise in the mail....a card from Lana and Greg who's wedding we photographed back in September at Beulah Park......it made my day! I am so thrilled to be able to be behind the camera and show people what I see.....and taking my passion and making it into something I can share with others. I've enjoyed working with new clients and meeting up with people I've worked with before, and being able to share some of those events working side by side with my husband......it doesn't get any better than that. So thank you Lana an Greg for thinking of us and the sweet card and thank you all for such a great year! I look forward to 2009!
This past Saturday was my last wedding for the year of 2008, and what a awesome year it has been! Tiffany and Chad met each other seven years ago, and tied the knot in a very festive holiday wedding at Lithopolis United Methodist Church. Tiffany getting a hand from mom. Tiffany had on a stunning gown, that was very fitting for her winter wedding. Unfortunately the weather that day was a balmy 65 degrees, that's Ohio for you!
The decorations of the wedding were very colorful. Chad just waiting for 'it's time'.
Sparklers were set off for the bride and groom's get-away from the church.
The girls looked awesome in their red gowns and white capes....... And the fella's were looking dapper too........
The reception was held at The Columbus Athenaeum downtown in the main ballroom, the floral arrangements were top notch and it smelled of stargazer lillies which I love the smell of. The first dance....... Chad wasted no time taking care of business to get to tossing the garter.... It was certainly a beautiful wedding to end the year too and we are so glad we got to be a part of your special day! Best wishes to you both!
Diane and Dave were married this past Saturday at St. Andrew Parish in Upper Arlington in a beautiful church. They chose to go with the color of gold with a touch of silver for the holiday wedding theme and it was indeed a beautiful setting. Diane was radiant from her hair to her gorgeous gown....... Before the I'd Do's
This reminds me of a popular Victorian themed wedding painting that I've seen on cards.......
Their reception was held at a church building down the road. They had a ice theme, and it turned out to be fitting for the evening that proved to be icy....
This is Brock.....he's just about four months old. He's celelbrating his first Christmas in style....once again, I'm not going to post but one of his session since it's the holidays...but I had to share this one!
So it's been brought to my attention that I don't take photos of my own son enough, or post some of them, and I couldn't argue the fact, cause I get so caught up in doing other's photos that I forget to make time of my own. I think that is one of the reason's why I took to taking photos, cause I love to look back on the memories and the changes over the years. Looking back from my years growing up and all those memories and photos I wish I had.....so it's important to make those memories, no matter how simple they may be at the time. Ephram is all about his 'bus' right now...a toy from his grandma.
He is enjoying some of his books finally and loves to tell you what the animals are. He's a pretty smart cookie. This is the face I will never grow tired of. Looking for daddy to come home from work...
His other love is his trains...can't get enough of his trains.
Forget trying to do any house chores, Hurricane Ephram just blew threw and is taking a break! I can't explain this one, but this is a pose I've seen him do many times as he's walking.....it'll be nice to look back on these ten years from now and wonder where my little guy went too.
Edit: Maybe Mommy doesn't know what this pose is - but I recognize it... its Ephram's "Darth Vader" walk. Which is funny since he doesn't know who Darth Vader is yet...
