We're Moving To Granville!
Photobucket We're excited to announce that we are moving this weekend. But fear not, we are not moving far. We fell in love with this 1860's house located in Granville, Ohio and are super excited to start a new avenue in our lives. The house is fitting of us and all that we love. Granville has always been special to Marty and I. Marty grew up there, so it's already like home to him, and I spent a lot of time there myself growing up, it's just felt like home to us both. Granville is where we started our lives together, it just seemed fitting to call it home. We had a long term goal to be near our families who live in the area, thankfully everything has fallen into place. I know some have questioned if this will change anything as far as my business goes. No big changes there. I will still venture around the state, country, globe for any photography needs. In the meantime, please pardon the dust so to speak as we move. I'm going to take a bit of a mini hiatus to get settled into our new home. Marty has been working hard on Candid Kama's new website/blog, so we will have that very soon as well. But if you have questions or want to set up a time for your portraits, wedding or special event, just let me know and I'll get in touch with you soon as I can.   -Kama

Lauren went back to college for her last year and got herself a fiancee. Seth an Lauren have dated for awhile. They have had a bit of a long distance relationship with their schooling an travels.

Lauren an Seth enjoy sports and being outdoors and they wanted a country setting for their session, so I took them to our family property.

Seth an Lauren don't have a date yet for their wedding, but they are getting closer. Now that Lauren has graduated, they are just waiting for Seth to complete his studies and they can focus on the future.

It was fun just watching them having fun with each other.

Some fun in the barn loft. I'm not one for heights and open faced ladders so it's a bit of mind over matter each time I venture up into the barn, but it's always worth it.

All the best to you both in the road ahead.

Misty Morning...
BLOG POST BELOW:

  Photobucket
The morning started off sunny. As I made my way to The Park of Rose's,the sky turned to clouds and a threat of rain. But we went on anyways with the hope we could finish before it let loose. There was just a slight mist, an before we knew it, the sun was shining again. Only in Ohio.

The girls continue to grow. Ayla was just a few month's old when I first met the family and she is now three. Kaitlyn is starting to look more like a teen now, and Braylee is inching towards her first birthday.
Photobucket
Kaitlyn is looking forward to summer vacation and being out of school. Summer will fly by.
Photobucket
Oh Ayla, alway's the ham of the bunch.
Photobucket
Braylee has some serious red hair going on, I love it.

Joshua is surrounded by his favorite girl's. He's made a great father and an adored husband.I know that Holly counts her blessings for the family they have made.

Sisterly love...

In the end, we managed to beat the rain. It was a rather beautiful morning for some fun in the park.

Going Green.......
Photobucket
I met this happy bunch at a park in Powell recently one morning. They were ready to go. This is Jennifer,
Scotte, an their boys Aidan, Brendan and Liam.
Photobucket
These boys are such good buddies. They were having fun with each other and seem very close.
Photobucket
Liam is 2, Aidan is 7, and Brendan is 5. They have such beautiful eye's.

Scotte and Jennifer took the boys for a stroll in the park. They found all sort's of bird's flying about.
Photobucket
Aidan has a love for photography and brought out his camera to take some photos himself. What a great source of fun for a child.
Photobucket
This image speaks words to me. Having an Uncle with Down Syndrome, I know the importance of family being around them. Brendan and Liam may not realize fully the road ahead, but I know that they would be there for Aidan and his needs as they, an their parents get older.

It was a great time at the park with new friends. Enjoy your summer boys and keep taking photos Aidan!

At The Lake...
Photobucket
Awhile back when I was talking with Debbie, and her daughter Leah, I jumped at the opportunity to head out to Buckeye Lake for their family portraits. The temptation to dip my feet in the water was overwhelming. The family has come to this spot for over 30 years to their cottage at the lake.
Photobucket
Joining the family portraits is Tim and Leah, and her grandmother, Margaret,Jeff and Debbie, and Aunt Rita and Amanda. I'm sure many fish have been caught off this pier over the years, a lot of sun rays have been cherished and countless memories have been made.
Photobucket
Jeff and Debbie have a beautiful family with their two girls. There is a lot of strong family ties with this bunch and I can say they made me feel right at home.
Photobucket
Margaret, also known as Nonnie and Rita have lived in the lake cottage. What a great place to call home. I'm sure they delight in the visits from the family.

Photobucket
Leah and Amanda were having some fun on the pier..it was making me nervous with their heels on the deck. I was wondering who would fall in first, then again I was sure that I might be the one to miss my step. Thankfully there were no slips, or that dip into the water I was longing for.
Photobucket
I have known Leah for a few year's now and it was great catching up with her again. We met year's ago when we worked in a local camera store together. Many a day when business was slow we'd play around taking photos of each other and just goofing off. It reminded me of those times and how much fun those always were.
Photobucket
Tim and Leah have been married a couple of year's now so it's been nice getting to know her other half. They clearly adore each other and have such an ease together. It makes me happy to see her over flowing with love.

Photobucket
It's easy to see why the family continues to come back to this spot and spend their time. It's so relaxing and peaceful.
Photobucket
Bliss...
Photobucket
I've met Amanda one other time, so it was nice to spend a bit more time with her. She had that laid back ease just the same as Leah with the camera.

At the end of the session, I was invited in for some cake and ice cream, how could I resist? A yummy chocolate and cherry delight. We sat around the table and chatted for awhile and just enjoyed the company. I like days like this....just a perk of the job!

Family.....
A few weeks back I made my way to Granville to take portraits of two families who wanted to get some photos for upcoming Mother's Day. Always a great town to work in.Photobucket Photobucket
Photobucket
The kids no doubt get on great with each other. They will have memories galore as they get older. It always reminds me how much family means.
Photobucket
The kids enjoyed all the perks Granville had to offer. They were a giddy fun bunch that kept each other laughing.
Photobucket
The entry way to The Buxton Inn is a bright spot with that Salmon color exterior. They all looked so good with their colorful shirts for their session.
Photobucket
I have to say, this was a well behaved bunch..for a handful of kids, they were all eager to do their part and have some fun.

These two families of cousin's have a lot to be happy about. They have beautiful children and two Dad's that love on them. What a wonderful way to celebrate Mom's for Mother's Day!
