Meet Bailey!

Yesterday I got to meet an itty bitty, tiny little girl named Bailey.

Bailey is only four days old...

Dana and Alyssa were so happy to show her off. Alyssa's parents were visiting from New York and couldn't contain their happiness in this new addition.

Alyssa seemed like a natural with Bailey.....like and old pro.

Out of all positions, Bailey seems to really favor just being upright, even just hanging, with her little legs dangling. I was so happy to catch a smile on her precious little face.

Yea, you make beautiful babies, it's true!

Congratulations on the birth of Bailey.....you have much to look forward to now as Mom and Dad!

Blaise

A few weeks ago I went to the Powell home of newborn Blaise. I'd taken his Mommy's maternity session before the holidays really kicked in and then was back just a short time after Christmas to meet the new addition.

I see so much of Blaise' big brother Brady in him....spitting image.

Blaise was already very fond of his pacifier at two weeks old. It's a matter of what ever works! He didn't want to go long without it.

I think he liked the feel of the rug under him.

It was wonderful to meet the new addition to the family and get to spend a little time

with all of them as they get to know each other. Blaise will certainly fit right into this happy home.

Baby Girl Coming Soon!

Last weekend I met Alyssa and Dana for their maternity session at their home. Dana is brother to another of my clients that I recently posted on here with their maternity and newborn shoot as well, so it's always great fun meeting other family members and getting to know everyone. This is their first baby and they are anxiously awaiting her debut!

The nursery is all ready and just waiting for that little bundle to come home...

Dunno about you, but you can hardly tell straight on that Alyssa has a belly.

During their session, I was greeted and loved on by their two dogs. Someone was sure they got their photo on the blog, or else!

Alyssa and Dana are expecting their baby to be born on Monday, unless she thinks otherwise!! Congrats to you both and I hope it's a fast delivery for you!! Looking forward to meeting Bailey!

A Day At The Zoo.....

A few weeks ago, I took a little trip to The Columbus Zoo to meet Shannon, Ken, and his daughter, Lily. Ken and Shannon are getting married and wanted to do something fun for their engagement session, so when she suggested going to the Zoo, I couldn't wait!

It was a bitter cold day, so much so that we had the Zoo literally to ourselves. The crowds were waiting until that evening to see the lights, so it was nice not having to fight the crowds and just do our thing.

Has anyone seen the Polar Bear that got loose? Look out....she's not in her cage.

It was fun having Lily along for the session as well. It's important to Shannon and Ken that she is just as much a part of this process as well. Lily was great with the camera, I have a feeling I'll be seeing more of her in the future!

We went inside to get warmed up a bit. Just enough to thaw out a bit.

I love this photo, it's a great shot of them together as a family, just hanging out and having a good time......that's what it's all about.

Shannon and Ken were a absolute hoot. Some of the expressions I got from them were my favorites....priceless!

Ken and Shannon will be making it official in August at their wedding in Dublin. We

look forward to that day and know even though it's snowing right now.....it'll be hot and humid in a matter of months.....

Destination Engagement Session-Las Vegas

Back in November, I was super excited to shoot the engagement session of Ronnica and Justin while I was in Las Vegas. We met up at one of my favorite spots, Red Rock Canyon. It had been a gorgeous week, but that particular day it turned windy and very cold, it felt like being back in Ohio it was so cold. But they were both ready to do their part....and I don't think Justin minded keeping Ronnica warm!

Love it!

As I've gotten to know Ronnica a little bit, I can say she is a very funny girl, we've had a lot of laughs and I love her sense of humor. But upon meeting her other half, I found that these two keep each other in stitches. Together they are hilarious and I love that about them.

Did I forget to mention they are super cute together too.......

Not far from Red Rock is a little place called Bonnie Springs Ranch. Built in 1843 as a resting place for the wagon trains, it later was turned into a park in the 50's. It's full of old Western mystique and the occasional cowboy that might just arrest you for some criminal act.......

These two were so easy to work with, it was such a delight and a refreshing shoot for me. I was having such a blast that I wish I could have soaked in more time.

From the great Western feel, we headed down to the Las Vegas strip to give a more modern feel to their photos.....we headed to The Venetian Hotel, one of their favorite places to frequent in Vegas.

Justin and Ronnica will be getting married in Oregon this coming July. We can hardly wait for their wedding day to arrive. If it's anything like their engagement session, it's going to be a blast!

Cousins

This lil guy is Wes and he's 3 month's old. I got a chance to meet up with him at his Mommy and Daddy's home in Grandview right after Christmas to do some photos.

And this is Siena, his cousin who was also there, visiting from Chicago. It was great getting to meet both these babies since I'd had the chance to do some photo of their Mommies together when they were expecting.

Siena had something to say and she was going to be sure we knew about it!

These two are going to grow up into a large family with plenty of other cousins and such to keep them company.....it won't be long before these two are running around with the rest of them! Look out!
